My paintings come from the process of making connections between form and symbol, the kinetic and the still. I intend dialogue and subjectivity with the placement of ambiguous text and the subtle manipulation of color and form. By incorporating eastern and western artistic ideas I seek to connect viewers with deeper collective truths while exercising my own sub-conscious.
Beauty and meaning combine to create an unplanned aesthetic in the painting when I am successful in my work.
